Cookie Policy

Disclaimer. Draft. Not legal advice. Review by qualified counsel required before publication. CNIL (France), Garante (Italy), and ICO (UK) guidance must be confirmed.
This Cookie Policy explains how Fleetmo LLC ("Fleetmo", "we", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on the website https://fleetmo.app and the dispatch console at https://my.fleetmo.app (the "Services"). Read this together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies
A "cookie" is a small text file stored by your browser when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, web beacons and SDKs (in mobile apps). We use the term "cookies" in this policy to refer to all of these technologies.
Cookies can be:
- First-party: set by the domain you are visiting (fleetmo.app).
- Third-party: set by a different domain (e.g., an analytics provider).
- Session: deleted when you close the browser.
- Persistent: stored on your device until they expire or you delete them.
2. How we use cookies
We use cookies for the following purposes:
2.1 Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are essential for the website and the dispatch console to function. They cannot be switched off. They include:
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|
session | fleetmo.app | Keeps you signed in to the dispatch console | Session |
csrf_token | fleetmo.app | Protects against cross-site request forgery | Session |
NEXT_LOCALE | fleetmo.app | Remembers your language preference | 1 year |
cookie_consent | fleetmo.app | Stores your consent choice | 12 months |
2.2 Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics solution. It does not store cookies on your device and does not collect personal identifiers; it aggregates page-view statistics.
If we add additional analytics providers in the future (e.g., Plausible, PostHog, Google Analytics), this section will be updated and your consent will be required before any cookie is set.
2.3 Marketing and advertising
Fleetmo does not currently use marketing or advertising cookies. No third-party advertising network is integrated. No data is shared for cross-context behavioral advertising.
If marketing cookies are introduced in the future, they will be strictly opt-in for EU/UK visitors via our consent banner.
2.4 Mobile app SDKs
The Fleetmo driver mobile application (iOS / Android) uses:
- Apple Push Notification service and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications.
- Crash reporting tooling (vendor TBD) to collect anonymized crash logs and improve stability.
Mobile SDK usage is described in the in-app privacy disclosure shown at first launch.
3. Your choices
3.1 Cookie banner
On your first visit from an EU/EEA, UK or Swiss IP address, a cookie banner appears. You can:
- Accept all — allow all non-essential cookies (today: none).
- Reject all — only strictly necessary cookies are set.
- Manage preferences — granular control by category.
You can change your choice at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the website footer.
[⚠️ LEGAL REVIEW REQUIRED] The banner UI must comply with CNIL, Garante, ICO and EDPB guidance: equal-weight Accept/Reject buttons, no pre-checked boxes, granular per-category controls, no dark patterns. Verify implementation before launch in EU.
3.2 Browser settings
You can manage cookies through your browser settings:
Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break essential functionality (e.g., you will not be able to stay signed in).
3.3 Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control
Fleetmo honors the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal sent by some browsers. When GPC is enabled, we treat your visit as a request to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (today this is moot — Fleetmo does not engage in such practices).
4. Third parties
Some services we use may set cookies independently in your browser:
- WordPress (wp.fleetmo.app) — the blog backend may set session cookies for logged-in editors. Public visitors usually do not receive a cookie.
- YouTube / Vimeo / embeds — if we embed third-party media in a blog post, the embed provider may set cookies. We use privacy-enhanced mode where supported.
5. Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date indicates the latest revision. Material changes will be notified via the website and, where required by law, by request of fresh consent.
